Cheese and Romanian Plum Brandy Festival
Takes place in Rasinari, between Saturday, 30 August 2014 and Sunday, 31 August 2014
Cheese and plum festival (Festivalul branzei si tuicii) aims to promote traditional Romanian products from Sibiu surroundings - Rasinari is well known throughout the country for the tasy and high-quality cheese that is produced here. Cheese and brandy producers of Rasinari, but also elsewhere in the region, come here to expose their products to be sampled and purchased.
Cheese, brandy and home-made cranberry, mutton stew pot and famous "bulz" are just some of the products displayed on stands participants. The festival attracts each year a growing number of manufacturers.
Like every year, the festival will be attended by famous singers of Romanian folklore and local bands, will be preparing "Bulz of the festival", a campfire near the end of the first day of the event and fireworks to end the festival.
