Day 1: Welcome in Romania!

Bine aţi venit! One of Dracula’s sons will be waiting for you at the “Henry Coanda” International Airport and will drive you to your hotel, offering a short panoramic tour of Bucharest. In the evening we will start our tour thru the ruins of the Old Court, one of Vlad Tepes residences in the XV century.  

Day 2: Walachia and its secrets

 Good morning Dracula’s country! We will start the day with a little bit of mystery regarding his death. The historians yet, they couldn’t tell exactly where he is buried. One clue took the road of Comana Monastery which was built by Vlad Tepes. After lunch we will cross the Wallachia region on our way to the former capital, during Dracula’s reign, Targoviste. Here you will see one of the best preserved royal courts in Romania. Let’s go and discover more!  

Day 3: From Walachia to Transylvania on the foot steps of Dracula

In the morning we take the road to the fortress which is considered the real castle of Dracula, Poienari Fortress. The ruins are hiding a lot of secrets. We will continue our tour on the most beautiful road in the world Transfagarasan. The lunch break will be at 2000m above sea level, and you will enjoy a nice view of Fagaras Mountains. In the evening we will arrive in Sibiu, the former European Capital of Culture in 2007 and a place where it’s supposed that Dracula had a lover.   

Day 4: To the heart of Transylvania

The narrow streets of Sibiu will take you to the medieval time. This will be the preamble before entering the medieval city of Sighisoara, the birthplace of Vlad the Impaler. His house is now one of the major attractions in the city and now is housed a restaurant. We will enjoy the lunch like in the medieval period. 

Day 5: The connections between Brasov and Vlad the Impaler

After a good and restful sleep in a medieval house (hopefully not haunted), we leave Sighisoara in searching for more adventure in Brasov County. Brasov or Corona, in the medieval period, hides the unfulfilled love story of Dracula. You must discover it!  

Day 6: Bran Castle and the legend of Bram Stoker

Thanks to Bram Stoker the Bran Castle became the house of Dracula. We will visit the castle and we will debate regarding Dracula’s life. Also the make an idea about the medieval period we will visit Rasnov Citadel and we will take another walking tour thru the narrow streets of Brasov.  

Day 7: The mystery of his tomb  

In the morning we will leave to Sinaia where we will visit Peles Castle, the former royal summer residence. We will end our tour with a stop to Snagov Monastery, another place where is supposed that Vlad the Impaler is buried. In the evening, we will  arrive in Bucharest for a last night in the land of Dracula.  Next day: Depends on the flight time, you may have time for another tour in the city, or to do some shopping. Transfer to the airport and "La revedere" Romania! Hope to see you again!
