On our way to Prince Charles’s Guesthouse we will make a short break at Peles Castel in Sinaia (the former royal summer residence) and you will taste the local wine, in one of the best winery in Azuga. Day 3: Explorring Transylvania - first night in Count Kalnoky\'s house

From the moment you will wake up you will feel the energy of this place. The only sounds would be from the birds and the wind that’s playing thru the trees. The best way to start your day! You will be treated like a prince therefore you will have the pleasure to choose your day trip between Brasov city and the legend of Dracula in the Bran Castle and a visit to the fortified churches of Transylvania or the Medieval city of Sighisoara. All the tours are embroidered with a lot of history and traditions. And at the end of this day, you will actually be accomodated in one of Count Kalnoky\'s houses in Miclosoara. This will unique Eco Experience in a real house of a real Transylvanian Count is an opportunity not to be missed.

Day 4: Eco Adventure in Transylvania

Gastronomy, local wines, customs and traditions – all will happen today in this beautiful traditional area of Miclosoara. Today, you also have to choose one of the tours included in the program that will be presented on the site by the local guide. Just to make an idea, the guest usually chooses between: bear trekking in the forests, bear watching, hiking and bird watching, horse and peasants cart riding, cooking curses, and so on. It’s your choice.

Day 5: Medieval Transylvania

After a good and restful sleep in a medieval house (hopefully not haunted), we leave Miclosoara and head to the heart of Transylvania, where after crossing some traditional villages we stop at Biertan to visit the fortified church. Just imagine the village of Biertan at noon, covered with fog caught between these hills. This is a usual view during the autumn and early spring that inspired lots of artists and gave birth to hundreds of legends. We continue now to our lunch, in the medieval town of Medias, a strange place with a lot of Masonic symbols. After a delicious lunch we go south at the foot of “Transylvanian Alps” to visit Sibiu, the former European Capital of Culture in 2007.

Day 6: Up in the mountains

In the morning you will enjoy your coffee in “Piata Mare” (the big square) in Sibiu. On a walking tour you will discover the Brukenthal Palace, the City Hall and you could tell a little lie on the Liar’s Bridge. In the afternoon we will arrive at Balea Lake, a resort at 2000m above sea level. From this point you can admire the Transylvanian Alps, the Fagaras Mountains.

Day 7: Returning to Walachia

In the morning, we leave Balea Lake and head south crossing the Transylvanian Alps to arrive in Bucharest. On our way, we will make some stops, to admire the beautiful landscapes, to visit the famous “Curtea de Arges Monastery”, a symbol of Romanian Orthodox. Arriving in the evening in Bucharest. Next day: After these hopefully beautiful 8 days you spent in our country, it’s time to say goodbye but we hope to see you soon again, to complete your Romanian experience with maybe a rural, gastronomical and traditional experience, or you may find out more about the ancient civilization of the Daci, our ancestor, one of the bravest people in Europe, in the centuries before Christ.
