All of these are combined in one single program, designed exclusively for the tourists with fine tastes who want to experience a little bit more about Romanian culture.

When we designed this program, we took into consideration all the aspects requested to combine as well as possible the cultural-historical side of Transylvania with its hidden treasure, the local gastronomy and the fine wines.

Starting from Bucharest, our capital city, we will head north to Brasov, on a beautiful alternative route passing the Siriu Lake, and then we will continue our itinerary in Transylvania combining visits at castles, citadels, fortresses, fortified churches and traditional villages with local gastronomy, serving delicious meals on our lunch and dinners.

This all inclusive program is maybe one of the best options to choose, if you are interested in both, historical and traditional Transylvania.

Day 1: Welcome to Bucharest, Romania. Bine ati venit!

Bucharest is also known as “Little Paris” due to the extravagant architecture and cosmopolitan high culture. Your Idyllic Tour Director will meet you at the airport, the starting point of your journey in Romania.On the way to the hotel you will enjoy a panoramic tour of Bucharest. Dinner in one of the best Romanian restaurants in town. 

Day 2: Explorring Bucharest, one of the most animated cities in Europe. Discove more than 500 years of history, stories and legends.

All in one place, Bucharest is a mix of cultural elements. You can start in the morning with the second largest administrative building in the world, from the communist period, The Parliament Palace, in the afternoon you can have a nice walk in the Village Museum, and in the evening you can relax in one of the many restaurants in the old town. The tour will be flavored with a traditional lunch at “Caru cu Bere” restaurant and in the evening you will enjoy one of the finest wines in Romania.  

Day 3: Full day of exploration. Muddy volcanoes, Siriu lake, Prejmer and Harman fortified churches. Welcome to Transylvania, the land of myths and legends.

Romania is famous for its natural attraction and the gastronomy and all the elements are combined to make the perfect recipe. After a nice walk to The Muddy Volcanoes Protected Area, you will discover the traditional cuisine in Buzau county, with its traditional Plescoi sausages and homemade wine.The road to Brasov will drive you through the idyllic landscape of the Carpathian Mountains. In the evening we will arrive in Brasov and you will have the first experience with the Transylvanian gastronomy. 

Day 4: Culture, traditions and gastronomy in Brasov County

In the morning you will discover Brasov with its narrow streets, like The String Street, one of the narrowest streets in Europe 111-135 cm width and 80m long. The symbol of the city is the Black Church which was built in the late 14th century in the Gothic style.In the afternoon we will enjoy a nice traditional lunch in the countryside near Brasov. A very important moment will be the visit to Bran Castle, in which you will find out more about the legends of this place. The day will end with a night tour and the spectacular view of Brasov in the night

Day 5: Authentic Transylvania Experience. UNESCO World Heritage Day.

Going deep into the heart of Transylvania, we will visit the remains of some medieval fortresses and the key point of the villages in Transylvania, the fortified churches. The villages are still keeping the traditional way of living. You will discover more talking with the locals at a traditional lunch.In the evening we will arrive in Sighisoara one of the best preserve medieval inhabited city in Europe.

Day 6: To the European Cultural Capital - Sibiu. Explorring Transylvania from north to south.

Sighisoara is the best place to taste the life in a medieval citadel. The main entrance with The Clock Tower will reveal you the history of this place and its famous residents like Vlad III the Impaler, Hermann Oberth and more others. After the citadel tour we will continue with the rural areas of Transylvania, visiting a UNESCO World Heritage Site, Birtan fortified church. In the afternoon the road will take us to Sibiu, the former Capital of Culture in 2007. Traditional dinner in one of the best restaurant in town. 

Day 7: Marginimea Sibiului - Authentic traditional villages of the transylvanian sheppards. Meet the locals and enjoy the cuisine!

It’s time to use our special time machine to go back a few hundreds of years in the past. Just joking! It\'s only a few kilometers away from Sibiu. This is the "Marginimea Sibiului" area, where we will climb up and down the hills and mountains, by car and by foot, to arrive in remote valleys where the shepherd, have their houses and villages. Here we will meet some locals, we will visit a traditional sheep-run where we will enjoy our lunch, in the most traditional way possible, in the middle of the nature, appreciating delicious dishes and listening fantastic stories.In the evening, after a full day, we come back to Sibiu to rest, and to remember this experience.

Day 8: Transylvania from West to East, on the foot of the Fagaras Mountains. To the Prahova Valley.

Breakfast and we take it to the East, heading back to Brasov, admiring on the right side the panorama of the majestic Fagaras Mountains. A few stops for pictures. On our way we will visit the ruins of the Cistercian Monastery of Carta. Great place for pictures and history.We continue our tour to the Azuga where we will have a special wine tasting program at Halewood Winery. After lunch we will visit the former summer royal residence, The Peles Castle in Sinaia. In the evening time to relax and remember the days in our country. Next day: Transfer to the airport. We say goodbye or "La revedere!" in Romanian language and hope to see you soon again.
