Day 1: Welcome in Romania! Bine ati venit!

Arrive in Bucharest, also known as "Little Paris" due to the extravagant architecture and glamorous high culture. Your Idyllic Tour Director will meet you at the airport, the starting point of your journey in Romania. On the way to the hotel, you will enjoy a panoramic tour of Bucharest. Dinner in one of the best Romanian restaurants in town.Meals: Dinner  

Day 2: First steps in Transylvania. From Bucharest to Brasov - 180 km

In the morning you will meet our Idyllic Romania representative and you will start your journey to Transylvania. On our way to Brasov we will visit Peles Castel in Sinaia (the former royal summer residence) and Cantacuzino Castle in Busteni. Here you will have the chance to admire the stunning views over the Bucegi Mountains right from the summer terrace of the castle. In the evening, we will arrive in Brasov, the main gate to Transylvania. Accommodation at your hotel / guest house in the old medieval town, dinner and free time to explore Brasov by night.Meals: B, L, D. 

Day 3: Crossing the Easter Carpathians to Zalanului Valley Village - 130 km

In the morning, you will discover Brasov with its narrow streets, like The String Street, one of the narrowest streets in Europe 111-135 cm width and 80m long. The symbol of the city is the Black Church which was built in the late 14th century in the Gothic style. Another very important moment will be the visit to Bran Castle. Here, you will find out more about the legends of this place. In the evening we will arrive in Zalanului Valley an idyllic remote traditional village in the hearth of Eastern Carpathian Mountains in Transylvania, you will be welcomed by the very kind people that take care of the Prince Charles\' Guest House, or if you are lucky, by the Prince itself. Day 4: Be a guest of Prince Charles of Wales. Full day of Eco Experiences in Zalanului Valley.

 Gastronomy, local wines, customs and traditions - all will happen today in this beautiful traditional house in Zalanului Valley. Today, you also have to choose one of the tours included in the program that will be presented on the site by the local guide. Just to make an idea, the guest usually chooses between: bear trekking in the forests, bear watching, hiking and bird watching, horse and peasants cart riding, cooking curses, and so on. Day 5: The time machine - From medieval Transylvania to ancient Dacia - 320 km

Leaving the Eastern Carpathians, we say goodbye to Prince Charles and head straight to Sighi┼čoara - the only inhabited medieval citadel in Europe. Your guide will take you to the narrow streets of the citadel, you will climb together the covered stairs and learn the history and the legends of this mysterious place. After a rich lunch in the citadel, you continue your tour back in time, to Alba Iulia, a place with a lot of historical significance for the Romanian people. Considering that Alba Iulia or Alba Carolina how it was called, was the capital of Roman Dacia province and also the place where the great unifying of the Romanian countries took place in 1918, this superb citadel is a place not to be missed. In the afternoon, we end the day in the town of Orastie, preparing for tomorrow experience.

Day 6: Dacia, the Romans and the Valley of the Dinosaurs. Ancient and prehistoric experience - 195 km

Early in the morning, as the sun rises up in the sky, you will be taken to the ancient times, to explore Sarmizegetusa Regia, the great capital city of Dacia Kingdom. You will step on the footprints of our ancestors and reveal the mystery of the wooden temple - a great experience. Leaving Sarmizegetusa we continue to Hunedoara to visit the medieval Hunyad Castle, a place of legend that inspired a lot of stories and movies. After this medieval experience we visit the stone church of Densus, one of the oldest churches in Europe which has an interesting story you will find out on the spot. Our last landmark for today is Sarmizegetusa Ulpia Traiana, the city built by Marcus Ulpius Nerva Traianus Augustus, the great Roman Emperor that built this capital city after he conquered this part of Dacia. Short walks on the streets of the city and you will admire the ruins and learn the final chapter of our ancient history. Overnight in the land of Hateg, a land where Dinosaurs used to have their headquarters millions of years ago. You still can find fossils and if interested, we can add an extra day of trekking through the Valley of the Dinosaurs and the Granit Fields. Optional for the next day.Meals: B, L, D

Day 7: Relaxing and nature experience at Fratii Jderi ECO Holiday Village - 150 km

Leaving Hateg we head to the hearth of Parang Mountains, passing Obarsia Lotrului and arrive for lunch at "Fratii Jderi", a beautiful ECO Holiday Village to relax and experience another type of responsible tourism. The village is beautifully located at the foot of the mountains, surrounded by forests and offers a lot of opportunities to spend a great time. For the more active of you, our hosts will arrange any active programs for the afternoon and a traditional dinner in the middle of the nature.Meals: B, L, D

Day 8: Full active day at Fratii Jderi ECO Holiday Village

Today is another day you will choose exactly what to do. After some gym in the morning and a session of meditation for soul, mind and body, you should be prepared for a beautiful program. You may choose between a rafting and canoeing session on the river, an easy or medium hike in the Buila-Vanturarita Mountains including a lunch at the sheep-run, activities and in the village and lunch with the locals, and many others.Meals: B, L, D 

Day 9: The Southern Carpathian Experience and the Town of Sibiu. From Fratii Jderi to Balea Glacier Lake (2000m) - 160km

The 9th day, after leaving Frati Jderi ECO Village you will cross the Olt Valley to arrive in Sibiu - the former European Capital of Culture in 2007 to visit the Medieval and Barcoo city. It\'s a great cultural experience and we will combine also with a rural experience at Astra Village Museum, to learn more about the traditional rural areas, architecture and customs in Romania. In the afternoon we will arrive at Balea Lake, a resort at 2000m above sea level. From this point you can admire the Transylvanian Alps, the Fagaras Mountains. Meals: B, L, D 

Day 10: From Balea Glacier Lake to Bucharest. The tour of Walachia and the last night in Romania - 250 km.

In the morning, we leave Balea Lake and head south crossing the Transylvanian Alps to arrive in Bucharest. On our way, we will make some stops, to admire the beautiful landscapes, to visit the famous "Curtea de Arges Monastery", a symbol of Romanian Orthodox. A legendary monastery, where the stories tell that an odious crime took place in the name of God. You will find out more and hear the entire story on spot. Arriving in the evening in Bucharest. Dinner.Next day, is time to say Goodbye Romania! La revedere! Happy to meet you and to have you as tourists for an entire week and more, hoping you had a great time and an unforgettable experience; we say goodbye or "La revedere!", in Romanian language and hope to see you soon again.
